The Irish Lottery advises that tickets are 'bearer instruments', meaning you must be in possession of a winning ticket to be able to claim a prize. Online prizes up to €99 will be paid into your online lottery account automatically, while you'll receive a cheque for prizes worth between €100 and €500. If you're lucky enough to win an even bigger prize, you'll be contacted by a representative to arrange the payout. Claiming a jackpot will require you to travel to the Irish Lottery's headquarters in Dublin.

In-store prizes worth up to €2,500 can be claimed from lottery retailers, and for prizes up to €15,000 you'll need to go to the nearest lottery payment centre. Any prizes worth more than this must be claimed from the lottery's headquarters in Dublin.
