Arklow Work Syndicate Claims Massive EuroMillions Prize
It has been a memorable few days for a number of Irish EuroMillions players, and a 24-strong syndicate has now come forward to collect a fantastic prize. The winners can now look forward to enjoying a wonderful rest of the year and beyond, while other fans of the game can set their sights on tonight’s €17 million jackpot.
While the EuroMillions top prize has been won twice in a row, by participants in Belgium and Portugal, Irish players have enjoyed success in the next tier after matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star. A group of work colleagues from the County Wicklow Partnership in Arklow netted €156,002 in the draw on Tuesday 25th October, before coming forward a few days later to pick up their cheque from National Lottery headquarters.
Syndicate spokesperson Eibhlis Forde believes ‘Santy will be very good this year’ after the 24 members won €6,500 each a couple of months before Christmas. She added: “We're all delighted and the money means so much to everyone individually, especially at this time of the year. One of the guys wanted a new car for ages, so he can get it now. And another was about to take out a loan to pay her two daughters’ college fees. The win covers those fees. It will be a happy Christmas for us all!"
Following on from the Arklow work syndicate, another lucky Irish ticket holder scooped €317,751 in the draw on Friday 28th October after matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. The winning numbers on the night were 10, 16, 19, 23 and 43, with Lucky Stars 2 and 8.
Visit the EuroMillions Results page to check out a full prize breakdown, as well as all the winning codes from the inaugural EuroMillionaires Raffle Draw and the Ireland Only Raffle. Ten ticket holders are guaranteed to win €5,000 in the Ireland Only Raffle in every draw, so there will be another chance to snap up great prizes tonight.
Players from the winning syndicate in Arklow are already relishing the prospect of a great Christmas, and you could also start dreaming of everything you want to buy in the run up to the festive season with a decent win this evening. Tickets can be bought online or from authorised retailers in Ireland. Good luck!
