August Starts With a Triple Rollover for the Irish Lottery
The draws on Saturday, 28th July 2012 and last night, Wednesday, 1st August 2012 saw no jackpot winners being able to match up all six numbers, so the top prize has rolled over to the week’s draw this weekend. This means there is an estimated jackpot of €4 million at stake, which is the highest jackpot the Irish Lotto has seen since it reached €8.7 million on 20th June 2012 after rolling over twelve times.
Both draws this week did see ticket holders match the secondary tier prize of €25,000 by matching five numbers plus the Bonus Ball, with one ticket holder taking the prize on Wednesday’s draw and two on Saturday. Strangely enough, both draws saw exactly 40 ticket holders win the third tier prize by matching five numbers, with those on Wednesday scooping €1,351 and Saturday’s winners a slightly bigger €1,896. Players in Ireland will also be gearing up this weekend for the Summer Millionaire Raffle, which is due to be drawn on Monday, 6th August 2012, and will make one lucky winner a millionaire. There will also be a further five prize tiers available, with the chance to win from €250 to €250,000 if your raffle number is pulled out of the bag! There are however, only 150,000 tickets available for this game, but with 518 different cash prizes at stake, the odds to win a big prize are good. Tickets are strictly limited, and only available from retailers in Ireland.
However, if you want to be in with a chance of winning that massive estimated €4 million rollover jackpot on Saturday’s draw, you can of course buy your Irish Lottery tickets online as usual, to beat the queues in the kiosks!
