Big EuroDreams Winner Guaranteed in Halloween Draw
One Irish player is guaranteed to win €2,000 per month for five years in Thursday night’s EuroDreams draw, adding up to a total payout of €120,000.
How It Works
The EuroDreams draw itself will work in the same way as always. You have to pick six numbers between 1 and 40, plus an extra Dream Number from 1 to 5.
To win a prize, you must match at least two of the first six numbers. The prize amounts on offer increase as you match more numbers, right up to the jackpot of €20,000 a month for 30 years for anyone lucky enough to match all seven numbers.
However, the Irish Lottery is holding its own special promotion to significantly boost your chances of winning. From all the Irish winners - across all six prize tiers (there were 24,526 on Thursday 24th October) - one will be selected at random.
This lucky winner will receive the prize they had already won in the regular draw, plus an additional €2,000 a month for five years. To receive this amount, you usually have to match all six of the main numbers.
If you’ve played online, you will be contacted automatically by phone and email if you are the winner of the special prize. If you bought your ticket in-store, you will only find out once you go to a retailer to claim your prize from the regular draw. Remember that you have 90 days to claim prizes.
There is no cash alternative for winners in the top two tiers in EuroDreams. The money is always paid out as an annuity - meaning regular instalments rather than a single payment. The advantage of this type of prize structure is that you have a guaranteed income for a long period of time.
Special EuroDreams Draws
The Irish Lottery has previously run a couple of other similar promotions. It first happened on 29th February to mark ‘Leap Day’, and the upcoming event has been scheduled to coincide with Halloween.
EuroDreams only began in November 2023 and it has proved to be a popular game in its first year. The lottery is also played in seven other countries apart from Ireland.
Draws take place every Monday and Thursday night, and you can catch the latest results as soon as they are available.
