Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot of 2016 on Offer Tonight
With a €166 million jackpot on offer, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is the biggest one of the year and the largest top prize available on the game since October 2014, when the jackpot cap was eventually reached and €190 million was won by a ticket holder in Portugal.
The top prize has been rolling over since Friday 23rd September, when a French player won €23.8 million, and even a €130 million Superdraw just a week later passed by without a top winner. Now, players across Ireland and Europe will be hoping to carve out a spot for themselves on the rich list.
Two EuroMillions jackpots this year have been won in Ireland, with a syndicate claiming one half of a €132 million windfall on the 29th of January and a group of Dublin bus drivers winning €23.8 million on the 1st of July.
Anyone in Ireland who won the entire jackpot on offer tonight would immediately become the tenth - and largest - EuroMillions winner in the country, outstripping Dolores McNamara of Limerick, who famously won €115.4 million in July 2005. With more than €50 million more than Ms McNamara banked 11 years ago, you could probably safely rest on your laurels for some time to come.
Tonight’s draw offers multiple opportunities to win, as you can put yourself in the running to scoop a prize in the main game or snap up cash on EuroMillions Plus and the Ireland Only Raffle. Ticket sales will close at 7.30pm tonight, so don’t wait; play EuroMillions online or buy tickets from authorised retailers. Good luck!
