Dublin Couple Win Ninth Big Irish Lotto Prize!
A Dublin couple picked up an Irish Lotto cheque for €113,661 this week after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the draw on Saturday 18th June, revealing they have matched at least five balls on an extraordinary nine occasions. The pair confirmed this had been their biggest win yet and the husband announced they would continue to play, saying, “we are certain that we will be back to the National Lottery offices in the next few months to claim an even bigger cheque.”
The winners were enjoying a drink on Saturday night when they checked the Irish Lottery results online, admitting they were “absolutely delighted” when they were met with a message urging them to contact the National Lottery. Winning is nothing new to the couple, but they did admit that the amounts written on their oversized cheques are heading in the right direction. "The Lotto prizes have got bigger in general over the years when you consider that the first time we matched 5 numbers we won a hundred pounds!” said the husband.
They pledged to use some of their latest fortune to help out charities both at home and in Africa, although they said they would not rush into any spending decisions. However, considering their run of Irish Lotto luck, they might want to set up a regular weekly payment of €50 for a five-day pass for the Irish Life car park near Irish National Lottery headquarters on Abbey Street Lower in the capital!
The lucky winners bought their winning ticket at Eason Newsagents on O’Connell Street in Dublin and it turned out to be one of two entries to match five main numbers and the Bonus Ball on Saturday night. The other was purchased at a service station in Newcastlewest, Co Limerick and you can see the winning numbers from the draw at the Results section.
Tonight’s jackpot is worth €6 million, with Irish Lotto tickets available online at the Tickets page or from authorised retailers across the country. Good luck!
