Dublin Players Scoop Big EuroMillions Prizes
Friday’s EuroMillions draw turned out to be very lucky for two Dublin ticket holders after they pocketed prizes totalling more than €837,000. The lucky entries were sold on either side of the capital, so the hunt is now on for big winners in both the north and the south.
The jackpot for the main draw on Friday 12th June was worth €51 million after three consecutive rollovers. A player from Spain matched all the numbers – 2, 24, 39, 45 and 46, plus Lucky Stars 4 and 8, to grab the full amount.
Two more participants, including one from Ireland, landed €337,142 in the Match 5 plus 1 Lucky Star category. It has been announced that the Irish ticket was a Quick Pick sold at the Centra store on the Main Street of Howth, Co Dublin.
There was an even bigger win for someone south of the Liffey, though, with one player snagging €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw. They matched the numbers 4, 5, 29, 30 and 42 to pick up the top prize. The winner bought their ticket from Mace on Kimmage Road Lower, Dublin 12.
Both of the lucky players bought their tickets on Friday on the day of the draw. The National Lottery is now urging everyone who played EuroMillions to look at their tickets to see if they won.
A spokesperson: “It would have been fantastic to get Ireland’s 16th EuroMillions jackpot winner last night and one person in North Dublin was so close to doing that.
"However, a prize of €337,142 is still a really nice prize to win on this rainy morning. We are asking all our Dublin players to get checking those tickets to see if you have won one of these big prizes.
"If you are one of those two lucky ticket holders, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and please contact our prize claims team.”
The EuroMillions jackpot, which has now been won four times since the start of May, has now reset to €17 million for Tuesday’s draw. You can buy tickets from authorised retailers or take part online.
