Ireland Only Raffle to Offer Guaranteed €1 Million Prize
This Friday will see one EuroMillions ticket holder secure a guaranteed prize of €1 million in a special edition of the Ireland Only Raffle. News of the draw has certainly generated excitement throughout the country, with players eager to snap up the seven-figure sum.
What is the Ireland Only Raffle?
As the name might suggest, the Ireland Only Raffle is a supplementary game that is played exclusively in Ireland and takes place following every EuroMillions draw. Entry into the raffle-style draw is included in the price of a ticket and offers ten guaranteed prizes of €5,000 for lucky winners.
Every player receives a four-letter, five-digit code (e.g. ABCD 12345) alongside every EuroMillions line played. As these codes are computer generated, it is not possible to select your own combination, however, the more lines you play, the greater your chances are of winning one of the rewards on offer.
So How Do I Win €1 Million?
From time to time, the Ireland Only Raffle offers one player the chance to win €1 million on top of their €5,000 prize. To be in with a chance of becoming a millionaire, simply match your code to one of the ten drawn this Friday and keep your fingers crossed that your code is then selected again as the recipient of the €1 million sum.
Has This Happened Before?
Following the launch of the Ireland Only Raffle in September 2016, there have been a number of these draws held, with two occurring this year alone. The first was held in February, when a player from Co Leitrim landed the prize, before a second ticket holder from Co Kildare secured the hefty sum in May after buying their ticket in the county town of Naas.
Don’t Forget About the Jackpot
With such excitement surrounding this Friday’s Ireland Only Raffle draw, players may be forgiven for forgetting about tonight’s draw, but with a jackpot of €64 million up for grabs it’s certainly worth taking part. So, for your chance to win big, simply pick your numbers online or play through any authorised retailer. Good luck!
