Irish Lottery Results for Saturday 2nd May 2015
Over 42,000 players won cash prizes in the Irish Lotto draw on Saturday but the jackpot rolled over again and there will now be €5.5 million on offer when the next draw takes place. A top prize of €4.8 million had been available for anyone who could match all six main numbers on Saturday, but for a seventh time in a row no ticket holders were able to hit the jackpot.
The winning numbers on the night were 1, 7, 18, 28, 30 and 36 with Bonus Ball 6. No participants managed to match five main numbers and the Bonus Ball, but 38 players matched five main numbers to each pocket €1,747. Other prizes ranged from €5 for matching three main numbers to €117 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
Irish lottery players get two more chances to earn money in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 games, and the two biggest winners on the night were from ticket holders who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the Lotto Plus 2 game to snap up €2,500 each. Go to the Results page for a full breakdown of the prizes in the main Irish Lotto draw and the supplementary games.
Wednesday night’s draw provides another chance to grab a fortune, and fans can point to the example of a recent lottery winner from Cork to show how it can be possible to land a massive payout when you least expect it. The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, came forward last week to claim €500,000 after finding the winning EuroMillions Plus ticket in her cupboard. The lucky lady had almost bought an ice cream, but at the last minute decided to play the lottery instead.
The weather has turned pretty miserable over the last few days, so it is unlikely you will have a craving for an ice cream. Instead, why not follow the anonymous winner’s lead and buy an Irish Lottery ticket. You can enter the Irish Lotto draw online or by visiting an authorised retailer in Ireland. Best of luck!
