Irish Lottery Results for Wednesday 7th October 2015
Saturday’s Irish Lotto jackpot will hit €3 million after no one could match all six main numbers in Wednesday 7th October’s draw. However, there were more than 23,000 winners on the night, who picked up prizes ranging from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball, up to €1,842 for matching five numbers and the Bonus Ball.
The Irish Lotto winning line was 8, 12, 13, 28, 34 and 46 with Bonus Ball 44, which was notable as it was the first time either 46 and 47, both introduced to the game in the draw on Saturday 5th September, had been dispensed.
There were two players who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the Lotto Plus 2 supplementary game to bag €2,5000, and you can find the results and full prize breakdowns for Irish Lotto, Lotto Plus 1, Lotto Plus 2 and the Lotto Plus Raffle at the Results page.
This Saturday, Irish Lotto fans will be looking to emulate the success of a couple from Ballymahon, Co Longford, who pocketed €2.9 million in the draw on Wednesday 30th September. The pair claimed their prize this week and opted to remain anonymous, although they released a statement expressing their joy at becoming “financially comfortable” and being able to set aside some cash for the education of their children. The statement continued, “We’re just thrilled. This has come at the perfect time - we’re old enough to be sensible but still young enough to enjoy it!”
Pat Smyth, owner of the SuperValu store that sold the winning ticket, reported an upturn in visits from customers hoping to harness some of the luck experienced by the winning husband and wife.
Irish Lotto tickets are on sale now for Saturday’s €3 million draw and you can buy them online from the Tickets section, or pop into authorised retailers, such as Smyth’s SuperValu, across Ireland.
