Irish Lotto Results for Saturday 16th May 2015
The Irish Lotto jackpot of €2.5 million wasn’t picked up on Saturday 16th March but nearly 30,000 ticket holders won cash prizes. Players will now have the chance to land £3 million in Wednesday night’s draw if they can match all six main numbers.
The winning line on Saturday was 18, 19, 28, 32, 35 and 44 with Bonus Ball 29. There were 36 participants who were successful in matching five main numbers to snap up €1,682 each, while 83 entrants matched four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to earn €183 each. The other prizes spanned from €5 for matching three main numbers to €63 for matching four.
There were no winners of the top prizes in either the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2, but the supplementary games did produce more than 60,000 winners between them. A player from Sligo who won the €350,000 Lotto Plus 1 top prize on Wednesday 29th April has come forward to collect his prize from National Lottery headquarters in Dublin. The lucky ticket holder, who is keeping his identity private, told the Sligo Champion: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw I had the six numbers. I’ve no big plans - I’ll put the cheque in the bank… I’ll not go mad!”
Anyone who wins £3 million on Wednesday’s Irish Lotto draw might feel they are entitled to go a little bit mad and make a few purchases that have previously been off limits, but to be in with a chance you will have to buy a ticket. Entries can be made online or by visiting an authorised retailer in Ireland, so make sure to get involved and have fun.
