Saturday night’s Irish Lotto draw saw one lucky ticket holder successfully secure a jackpot of €5,544,864 after matching all six main numbers. The winning ticket was purchased in Dublin and sees the player become the fifth jackpot winner since the turn of the year. The evening also proved a success for over 44,000 other players who won great prizes.
The winning Irish Lotto numbers were 8, 15, 17, 22, 34 and 38, with 10 drawn as the Bonus Ball. In addition to the jackpot winner, two players will no doubt be celebrating their good fortune as they both scooped €60,093 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. A further 25,538 ticket holders claimed prizes ranging from €9 for matching three main numbers to €1,381 for matching five main numbers, while 19,184 ticket holders will be keeping their fingers firmly crossed as they each collect a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
There were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 top prizes, but there were plenty of reasons to be cheerful for players of Lotto Plus Raffle as 110 lucky ticket holders correctly matched 2704 as the all-important winning code to win €300 each. This latest jackpot win ends a run of seven straight rollovers and is the first since a syndicate from Wexford claimed over €7.9 million on the 23rd April. It is also the first time a ticket purchased in the country’s capital has claimed the top prize since the 19th of September 2015, when an Irish Lotto fan in Dublin secured a prize worth over €7.3 million.
