Irish Lotto Results for Thursday 5th February 2015

After a technical snafu stopped the Wednesday Irish Lotto draw from taking place for the first time in its history, the game finally went forward on Thursday and saw a single player grab a €10.2 million windfall. In a written statement, lottery officials explained that an outage on the Telefónica network prevented retailers from accessing the network and issuing tickets. While full service had been restored by 6pm on Wednesday, this wouldn’t give potential players the time they needed to buy tickets for the massive rollover draw.

The top prize in Ireland’s flagship lottery game had been rolling over since the 10th of December, and anticipation surrounding the eight-figure haul was high. The postponement may have been a bit of a blessing for many, as over 70,000 ticket holders snapped up cash prizes. In addition to the lucky jackpot winner, who purchased their ticket in the East, there were two participants who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to net themselves a cool €25,000 each.

An additional 82 players won €1,348 each when they matched all five main numbers drawn. The remaining prizes were worth between €5 for matching three main numbers and €150 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball.

The winning line was 9, 10, 18, 20, 24 and 26 with Bonus Ball 35. To view a full prize breakdown from the latest Irish Lotto draw, as well as look at the winning numbers and other details from the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws, visit the Irish Lotto Results page.

Barring any unforeseen technical issues, the next Irish Lotto draw is scheduled for Saturday 7th February and will bring with it a jackpot worth €2 million. Make sure you grab your entries either online by visiting the Tickets page or by visiting one of the many authorised retailers located throughout the Republic. Good luck and have fun!
