Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 16th March 2016
The Irish Lotto draw on Wednesday 16th March failed to produce a jackpot winner, but there were over 31,000 players who picked up prizes to set them up for a magnificent St Patrick’s Day. One ticket holder in particular can really enjoy the celebrations after they matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pocket €383,528.
The numbers drawn were 4, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 36 with Bonus Ball 25, and the other prizes won ranged between a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball up to €559 for matching five main numbers. The Irish Lotto Plus 1 and Irish Lotto Plus 2 draws also gave away thousands of prizes, with one Irish Lotto Plus 2 player snapping up €2,500 for matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
There were 83 players who matched the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number of 4113 to get €300 each. Check out the Irish Lotto Results section to find out more about all the night’s games, including full Irish Lotto prize breakdown.
The Irish Lotto jackpot had been won in the previous draw on Saturday after a single ticket matched all six main numbers to net the owner €2.5 million. Waterford Local Radio has since revealed that the ticket belonged to a syndicate of 12 colleagues from the company Bausch and Lomb, who had been playing together and using the same numbers for 16 years.
The success of the Waterford City syndicate after so many years shows that you never know when it might be your lucky day, so make sure not to miss out on buying a ticket for Saturday’s draw. You could take a short break from the St Patrick’s Day festivities to play online or buy a ticket from any authorised retailer in Ireland, and then dream of what you might do if you won the €2.5 million jackpot up for grabs at the weekend. Good luck!
