Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 16th September 2015
There were more than 42,000 Irish Lotto players who won prizes in the draw on Wednesday 16th September as many ticket holders again felt the benefit of changes made to the game earlier in the month. Nobody was quite able to scoop the jackpot, however, so the top prize will climb to a magnificent €7.5 million for the next draw on Saturday.
The winning numbers last night were 3, 9, 22, 25, 27 and 31 with Bonus Ball 23. There were 16,081 winning participants in the new prize tier for matching for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, with each earning a €3 scratchcard. The remaining winners picked up prizes between €7 for matching three main numbers and €882 for matching five main numbers.
One lucky player in Lotto Plus 1 was the biggest winner of the night as they matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to bag the improved fixed prize of €5,000, while another ticket holder in the same tier of Lotto Plus 2 landed €2,500. There were also 86 players in the Lotto Plus Raffle who matched the winning number of 6025 to pocket €300 each. Check out a full prize breakdown from Irish Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 in the Results section.
The Irish Lotto jackpot has yet to be won since several changes were made to the game, which included the addition of two more numbers to the ball pool so that players are now required to select six numbers from a choice of 47. There have been 11 rollovers since a duo on holiday in Rosslare snagged €2.5 million on Saturday 8th August, but there have still been big winners in each draw and you can grab some fabulous prizes again this weekend. Make sure to buy tickets online or visit an authorised retailer in Ireland and, you never know, you could just get your hands on the €7.5 million jackpot. Good luck!
