Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 18th May 2016
Wednesday evening’s Irish Lotto draw saw 28 players each claim a prize of €1,094 by matching five main numbers as the jackpot rolled over for the seventh time, a result that sees the top prize increase to an estimated €5.5 million ahead of Saturday’s draw.
The winning Irish Lotto numbers were 4, 8, 12, 15, 25 and 40, with 47 drawn as the Bonus Ball. In addition to the largest prize winners in the main draw, 31 players will certainly be pleased with their windfall after securing €249 each as they matched four main numbers and the Bonus Ball. A further 23,407 ticket holders claimed prizes ranging from €7 for matching three main numbers to €38 for matching four main numbers, while 9,357 players will be hoping that luck is still on their side as they each collect a €3 scratch card for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
There were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, but that didn’t stop 17,480 lucky players from getting their hands on great cash rewards. It was a similar story in the Lotto Plus 2 game, where the top prize remained untouched, but 1,697 ticket holders claimed rewards. The Lotto Plus Raffle saw 80 players scoop €300 each by matching 4096 as the all-important code. For a full breakdown of prizes and additional draw information, head to the Irish Lotto Results page.
Irish Lotto fans are certainly no strangers when it comes to rollovers, with this latest run being a relatively small figure in comparison to previous barren spells. Quite recently, between Wednesday 19th November 2015 and Wednesday 20th January 2016, the top prize rolled over an amazing 19 times generating a lavish reward worth over €13.7 million. This latest result also means that it is now 29 weeks since the jackpot was taken down on a Wednesday, an astonishing run that players will be desperate to see end very soon.
Attention now turns to Saturday evening's incredible seven-figure jackpot, with Irish Lotto tickets being available to buy online or from any authorised retailer throughout the Republic. The very best of luck and keep those fingers crossed!
