Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 18th November 2015
The Irish Lotto jackpot will hit an estimated €2.5 million for Saturday’s draw after last night’s game ended in a rollover, but nearly 30,000 participants still picked some lovely prizes to finish their week on a high note.
The winning line was 5, 7, 10, 16, 30 and 46 with Bonus Ball 32. Four players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to pocket €10,923 each, with another 15 participants netting €1,747 each for matching five main numbers. The remaining 29,277 winners in the main game picked up prizes ranging from a scratchcard worth €3 for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball and €173 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
More than 12,000 players in the Lotto Plus games snagged prizes on the night, with one participant in Lotto Plus 2 scooping €2,500 for matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. A total of 66 ticket holders matched the winning Lotto Plus Raffle code of 9764, winning €300 each in the process. The latest Irish Lotto winners came forward this week after snagging a €3.88 million rollover jackpot this past Saturday. The ten-person syndicate works at the Kerry Group Cheese Strings factory in Co Cork and has been playing Irish Lotto for 12 years. Now each participant is €388,375 richer after they switched from playing Quick Picks to selecting their own numbers. One of the syndicate members, Seamus Cawley, spoke to the Irish Mirror about their jackpot win, claiming it was “just as sweet” as the national marathon title he won in 1985. The winning ticket was sold at O’Grady’s Spar and Topaz in Ballingarry, which is run by the captain of the Limerick hurling team.
Before Irish Lotto returns on Saturday, there’s another big sum to play for on Friday evening as EuroMillions offers a rollover jackpot worth a mind-blowing €162 million. The top prize on the pan-European lottery game has been rolling over since Tuesday 13th October and even escaped the grasp of players everywhere on Friday 6th November, when a Superdraw offered a guaranteed €100 million.
You’ve got to be in it to win it! Tickets for EuroMillions and Irish Lotto are available online or from authorised retailers throughout the Republic. Good luck and have fun!
