Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 4th May 2016
There were no winners of Wednesday’s €2.9 million Irish Lotto jackpot, but that didn’t stop over 23,000 lucky players from scooping prizes. It also proved to be a fruitful midweek game for 15 ticket holders, each of whom walked away with €1,833 for successfully matching five main numbers.
The winning numbers were 2, 28, 34, 36, 45 and 46, with 9 making an appearance as the Bonus Ball. In addition to the biggest prize winners on the night, 12,818 players each secured rewards ranging from €12 for matching three main numbers to €187 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball. There were a further 10,461 lucky lotto fans who each correctly matched two main numbers and the Bonus Ball to collect a €3 scratch card.
There were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, but there was a notable victory in the Lotto Plus 2 draw, where one player scooped an amazing €2,500 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to become the largest prize winner on the night. There were a further 83 players who joined the celebrations after they matched 7558 as the Lotto Plus Raffle code to pocket a very handsome €300 apiece. As the Irish Lotto jackpot rolls over to an estimated €3.5 million ahead of Saturday’s draw, the collective attention of the nation’s lottery lovers will first turn to this Friday’s EuroMillions game. With the top prize worth an incredible €65 million, there will no doubt be plenty of tickets being snapped up before tomorrow’s 7:30pm deadline. One Dublin-based pub has even taken to Twitter, offering to share of the jackpot if their ticket is successful. Staff at the Paddocks pub in Clonee very generously tweeted a picture of their Quick Pick ticket, saying: "We did a €6 Qp for Fri EUROMILLIONS. It's up to €65mill and if we win we share it with YOU. Just retweet & follow us."
Tickets for both Friday’s EuroMillions draw and Saturday’s Irish Lotto draw are available to buy online or from any authorised retailer across the Republic. Best of luck!
