Irish Lotto Results for Wednesday 6th January 2016
The Irish Lotto jackpot has increased to €9.5 million, with no winners of the top prize following the draw on Wednesday 6th January.
The winning Irish Lotto numbers in the main game were 2, 15, 25, 43, 45 and 46 with Bonus Ball 16. Despite the jackpot going unclaimed, over 30,000 players were lucky enough to grab a prize. Fourteen entrants were fortunate enough to scoop €2,588 each, matching five out of the six main numbers drawn. The rest of the prizes given to winners last night ranged from a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball up to €152 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
Unfortunately, there were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, with the same being true of the Lotto Plus 2 prize, but one player in Lotto Plus 1 did grab €2,500 for matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. The winning Lotto Plus Raffle Prize was claimed by 98 lucky players, each one matching the winning raffle number, 7465. Visit the Irish Lotto Results page to learn more about last night’s games.
The lack of a winning ticket means that the jackpot total will climb ever higher in time for the draw on Saturday 18th January. A lucky winner would be the first player to claim the top prize since Saturday 14th November, when the jackpot was grabbed by a syndicate from Cork, scooping €3.8 million in the process.
Anticipation will no doubt build ahead of this Saturday’s draw, with every player eager to be the first winner of 2016. At least one lucky beneficiary will also pocket the largest jackpot since Saturday 4th April 2015, when the prize topped the €10 million mark.
So what are you waiting for? Irish Lotto tickets are available online and from authorised retailers across Ireland. For all the latest information, including jackpot totals and draw details, don’t forget to keep checking Irish.National-Lottery.com. Good luck and have fun!
