Irish Ticket Holder Wins €500,000 in EuroMillions Plus
A single ticket holder from the Mid-West of Ireland matched all five numbers to win a €500,000 jackpot in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Tuesday 10th July.
Quick Pick Ticket Bought from Tesco
The player landed the six-figure windfall after the numbers 2, 6, 15, 34 and 44 were drawn on Tuesday night. They bought their winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Tesco in Dooradoyle, Limerick, and have now been urged by lottery officials to come forward and claim their prize.
National Lottery CEO Dermot Griffin said: “Our players are certainly benefitting from the luck of the Irish in the EuroMillions and we can’t wait to welcome the Limerick winner to our Winner’s Room to toast their big win.
“Players in Ireland have enjoyed tremendous success in the EuroMillions so far this year with prizes in excess of €58 million won. Just last month, we welcomed the Stakelums syndicate from Thurles, Co. Tipperary to National Lottery HQ who became our 13th EuroMillions jackpot winner picking up a cheque for €17 million.
“[Tuesday’s] €500,000 EuroMillions win comes just a month after a lucky Limerick syndicate picked up a Lotto jackpot worth over €4.3 million.
"We are appealing to all of our players in Limerick to check their tickets and if you are the lucky winner, sign the back of the winning ticket and contact our Prize Claim Team and we will make arrangements for them to collect their prize."
Plenty of Other Winners Elsewhere
There were 43 winners in the EuroMillions Plus draw who matched four numbers to take home €2,000 each, and 1,961 players matched three numbers to win €20 each. The Ireland Only Raffle also saw ten winners receive €5,000 each on the same night.
Elsewhere, there weren’t any Irish winners in the top four prize tiers of the main EuroMillions draw on Tuesday, although the €65 million (£57 million) jackpot was won by a ticket holder in the UK. A full breakdown of winners from the night can be found on our Results page.
