Irish Winner of €17 Million EuroMillions Jackpot
Ireland has crowned its 15th EuroMillions jackpot winner after a single ticket matched all the numbers in the draw on Tuesday 11th February. The top prize was worth €17 million and players have now been urged to check their tickets.
Winning EuroMillions Numbers
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 24, 26, 32, 43 and 46, with Lucky Stars 6 and 10. There were over 1.2 million winning tickets across Europe, including 34,083 in Ireland.
Another 10 players also won €5,000 each in the Ireland Only Raffle, while there was also a winner of the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus jackpot. Go to the EuroMillions Results page for more information about all of the night’s draws.
Everyone who won a prize now has 90 days to come forward and claim their money, and the Irish National Lottery is particularly looking forward to welcoming the €17 million winner through its doors.
“This is amazing news! €17,000,000 is a mind-blowing sum of money and we are delighted to confirm that this lucky ticket was sold in Ireland,” said a National Lottery spokesperson straight after the draw.
“This is Ireland’s 15th EuroMillions jackpot winner and we are now asking all our players to check their tickets very carefully to see if they are the lucky winner or winners. If they are the lucky winners we encourage them to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 01 836 4444.”
The National Lottery announced on Wednesday morning that the winning ticket was sold in Connacht.
Irish EuroMillions Success
The latest jackpot win comes almost exactly a year after the biggest payout in the history of the Irish lottery. A family syndicate from Co Dublin pocketed a colossal €175 million in the draw on Tuesday 19th February 2019.
The big win last year followed a Superdraw a few weeks earlier, and there was another Superdraw just last Friday which offered a jackpot worth €130 million. A Spanish player landed the top prize on 7th February, so the jackpot reset to €17 million for Tuesday night.
More Superdraws are set to take place following changes that were introduced to EuroMillions at the start of February. The jackpot cap has increased from €190 million to €200 million, while a higher percentage of the prize fund is also being given to the jackpot to help them grow even more quickly.
With two jackpot wins in a row, it has been a spectacular few days for EuroMillions players. There will now be another chance to land €17 million on Friday. You can play online or buy tickets from an authorised retailer.
