Lucky Munster Player Bags Third Big Lottery Prize
A man from Munster has set his sights on the EuroMillions jackpot after coming forward to collect the third big lottery prize of his life. The latest big win was worth €19,912 after he matched all five main numbers in the draw on 30th May, and he is hopeful that an even bigger reward might be around the corner.
The lucky winner, who also scooped €300,000 on Lotto Plus 1 in 2004 and €500,000 as part of a Lotto syndicate in 2006, visited Irish National Lottery headquarters in Dublin on Tuesday to pick up his cheque. He joked to staff: “You will be getting sick of me. Hope to see you again soon.”
Asked about his reaction to the latest win and his plans for the future, the player added: “I really couldn’t believe it when I saw five numbers came up. I know it’s not a life changing amount but it is still nice and will allow me do some things. I don’t know yet how I will spend this win but first I will go for a pint in Dublin and take a few days off.”
The man, who has decided to remain anonymous, says the recent success has renewed his optimism. “This win shows that lightning can strike not once, not twice, but three times. I am not ruling out winning again.”
Whether you have won big prizes in the past like the player from Munster or are a complete newcomer, anyone who gets involved in the next EuroMillions draw on Friday night will be in with a chance of landing the €73 million jackpot.
