Mid West Ticket Holder Wins €2.9 Million Irish Lotto Jackpot
An Irish Lotto player is €2.9 million richer after landing Wednesday night’s jackpot. The ticket holder, who purchased their entry from Coughlan's Gala store on Quinlan Street in Limerick, correctly matched all six main numbers to land the first jackpot win of September and the second top prize recipient in the space of just four draws.
The winning numbers from the draw were 1, 4, 5, 6, 18 and 47, with the Bonus Ball 35 completing the lineup. Interestingly, this is the sixth time that the numbers 4, 5 and 6 have been drawn together in Irish Lotto history, an occurrence that has made one ticket holder very rich indeed. This is also the seventh time this year that the jackpot has been won, a victory which, in terms of top prize winners, sees 2017 pull level with the same point in 2016.
While the top prize was claimed, there were plenty of other prizes won, ranging from a €3 scratch card for those able to match two main numbers and the Bonus to €1,470 for any player able to correctly predict five of the six main numbers.
There may not have been any jackpot joy in the supplementary games, but there were a total of 15,837 prizes awarded in both the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws. For a complete prize breakdown and additional draw information, head to the Irish Lotto Results page.
If you missed out this time, don’t despair as this Saturday’s jackpot is worth a guaranteed €2 million. If you would like to be in with a chance of becoming a millionaire, simply select your numbers online or pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer across the Republic. Good luck!
