National Lottery Officials Begin Hunt for €500,000 EuroMillions Plus Winner
National Lottery officials are on the lookout for one lucky ticket holder who won €500,000 in Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus draw. The player successfully matched the numbers 3, 15, 25, 31 and 39 to land the sizeable six-figure sum and become the fifth winner of the jackpot in the space of ten draws.
The winning €3.50 Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw from the Gandon Inn Daybreak in Emo, Co Laois. This is the second major win that this particular service station has produced in the past two-and-a-half years after selling a ticket worth €350,000, according to the shop’s proprietor, Tom Treacy. The business owner also revealed that there had been a real buzz around the local area since the news was released, with “lots of well wishers” paying him a visit.
Laois has certainly enjoyed its fair share of good fortune in the past few days, after a lucky lottery fan managed to win a Lotto Plus 2 jackpot of €250,000. The winning playslip was purchased from Clelands Supermarket in Abbeyleix just hours before the draw took place on Saturday evening. Upon hearing the news, the retail chain was quick to share its news on social media: “We would like to congratulate the lucky winners, although we do not know whom that may be. Another great day for Clelands and the town of Abbeyleix.”
If you fancy your chances of winning a huge prize courtesy of EuroMillions or Irish Lottery, you can pick your numbers online or play via any authorised retailer ahead of the draws this Friday and Saturday. And don’t forget to enter the superb supplementary games on offer, including EuroMillions Plus, Irish Lotto Plus 1 and Irish Lotto Plus 2. Best of luck!
