Search Begins for First Daily Million Jackpot Winner of 2025
Irish Lottery bosses have revealed the location of the store which sold the first Daily Million jackpot-winning ticket of 2025. The Co Donegal player now has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize.
Daily Million gives you the chance to become a millionaire twice a day, with draws at 2:00pm and 9:00pm. Nobody had been able to land the top prize yet this year until Monday’s afternoon draw, when someone matched the numbers 1, 3, 7, 8, 12 and 33.
It has now been announced that the lucky entry was a Quick Pick, sold at Kernan’s Tullygay Newmills in Letterkenny, Donegal, on the day of the draw. It made them the seventh Irish Lottery millionaire of the year, although they must now submit a claim before the deadline in June to get their hands on the money.
While the Irish Lottery has urged all players in the Donegal area to check their tickets carefully, employees at Kernan’s Tullygay have already been celebrating and hailed the win as a ‘well-deserved lift for the community’.
Store Manager Barry Daly said: “I am thrilled with today’s announcement that Kernan’s has sold the first Daily Million top prize win of 2025! This is the biggest prize we have ever sold, and we are over the moon to have done so.
“I'd like to thank our amazing team here at Kernan's Tullygay Newmills, for their dedication and hard work, serving our loyal customers. We have a lot of regular customers, so it’s exciting to think that one of them may have won this life-changing prize.”

The jackpot was raised to an incredible €130 million for a Superdraw on Friday 7th March, but nobody was able to win. Another rollover in Tuesday’s draw has propelled the jackpot up to €162 million.
