What’s Happening in the Ireland Only Raffle?
The Ireland Only Raffle is adding an extra €4 million to the prize pot in August, with four lucky ticket holders set to become millionaires.
On each Friday this month - so the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August - one of the 10 raffle winners will be picked at random to receive an additional €1 million.
This will take the final prize for these winners to €1,005,000. The other nine winners will still get paid their €5,000 as normal.
You just have to buy a ticket for one of the promotional draws to be in with a chance of winning. The exact odds depend on how many tickets are sold so they always vary from draw to draw, but they are far better than your chances of winning the EuroMillions jackpot - which stand at 1 in 139,838,160.
EuroMillions Megadraw in September
The next EuroMillions Megadraw has been scheduled for Friday 9th September, and again there will be a €130 million jackpot up for grabs.
Remarkably, the jackpot has already climbed past €200 million on two previous occasions this year. Both times it ended with a UK winner, but it could be Ireland’s turn for success in the next Superdraw.
Ireland’s biggest EuroMillions win came back in February 2019, a few weeks after a Megadraw, when a family syndicate from Co Dublin claimed €175 million.
