Ticket holder wins €4m Irish Lottery
Someone will have themselves a good weekend after scooping last night’s €4m Irish Lottery jackpot.
The lucky ticket holder matched all six winning numbers 9, 15, 18, 21, 34 and 35, and will have a mouth-watering €3,961,390 cheque waiting for them at Irish Lotto HQ in Dublin. For the full prize breakdown be sure to visit IrishLottery.com’s Results page.
The winner probably won’t have far to go to collect their mammoth winnings as lottery organisers say the winning ticket was purchased in the Irish capital, although a winner has not yet come forward.
No ticket holders managed to match five winning balls plus the Bonus ball 42 to claim the next tier prize of €25,000, but 33 ticket holders did correctly match five numbers to win €1,494.
With this triple-rollover jackpot seized, the Irish Lotto top prize reverts back to €2 million for the draw on Saturday evening.
EuroMillions news
€25 million is at stake in tomorrow’s EuroMilllions draw as no ticket holder won the jackpot from Tuesday’s draw.
Keen players will hope that the luck of the Irish will be with them this weekend, just like the recent winner from the Emerald Isle who won €12.8m accidentally. The anonymous man admitted he picked the number 32 on his playslip by mistake – yet the blunder made him Ireland’s fifth EuroMillions winner. He joins the likes of Dolores McNamara from Limerick who netted over €115 million in 2005 and the most recent anonymous victor from Dublin who claimed €94 million in June.
