Time Running Out for Cork Player to Claim €381,863 EuroMillions Prize
One lucky ticket holder from Cork could be set for a large dose of misfortune as they have just days remaining to collect a EuroMillions prize worth €381,863. The player successfully matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star in a draw back in May, but only has until 5:30pm on Thursday 4th August to make themselves known to lottery officials.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was bought on Friday 6th May, the day of the draw, from the Market Green Shopping Centre branch of Tesco in Co Cork. The winning numbers were 32, 34, 40, 45 and 48 with Lucky Stars 1 and 10. EuroMillions players who purchased a ticket for that particular draw are encouraged to double and triple check their tickets in a last ditch attempt to find a winner. Should anyone discover that they are in possession of the fortuitous slip, lottery officials have strongly recommended that they sign the back of their ticket and contact the National Lottery claims team as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
It isn’t just players in Co Cork who need to examine their tickets more closely. Just over 100 miles further north, a EuroMillions fan in Galway is in danger of missing out on a prize worth €191,461. The ticket holder, who purchased their ticket from Tesco in the Galway Shopping Centre on Headford Road on Wednesday 27th April, successfully matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star on Friday 29th April to win the six-figure prize. The winning numbers from the draw were 4, 5, 25, 28 and 43, with Lucky Stars 6 and 11. The winner has until 5:30pm on Thursday to claim their reward.
This Friday’s jackpot is estimated to be worth an incredible €72 million, a sum that would certainly make anyone check their ticket thoroughly once the winning numbers came out. As always, EuroMillions tickets can be purchased online or from any authorised retailer throughout the Republic or in any of the nine participating countries. Best of luck!
