Will Tonight’s €11.5 Million Irish Lotto Jackpot Be Won?
The biggest Irish Lotto jackpot in over a year could be given away in tonight’s draw, after the top prize climbed to an estimated €11.5 million. The jackpot has not yet been won in 2017, and has been growing since it was last scooped on Christmas Eve by a family from Bailieborough in Co Cavan.
A lucky husband and wife from Dublin landed an enormous €11.3 million on Saturday 3rd December, but a larger prize has not been offered since a family from Belmullet in Co Mayo snapped up €13.7 million in January of last year.
There is sure to be a lot of optimism sweeping through the petrol stations and local stores of Ireland following a flurry of recent big wins, most notably the Dublin syndicate which picked up a massive EuroMillions jackpot of €88.5 million last month.
A Dublin couple also came forward last week to claim the €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 prize they won on Wednesday 8th February. The wife revealed that she found the winning entry in a ‘handbag full of lottery tickets which hadn’t been checked’, admitting that she usually only looks at her numbers if she hears of a big win in the area.
